The Durant Guild to Bring Iconic American Vehicles to China International Import Expo

The Durant Guild stand will feature the Cadillac CELESTIQ, GMC HUMMER EV SUV and Chevrolet Corvette Z06, showcasing its diverse spectrum of expressive lifestyle enablers.
“All three products appearing at CIIE are highly desirable and represent General Motors’ innovation in the ultra-luxury, performance all-electric full-size SUV and supercar segments,” said Felix Weller, president and managing director of The Durant Guild. “We learned at CIIE in past years that Chinese consumers are looking for more exclusive, more diverse, and more premium products and high-quality service and experiences. This year, we are showing that we can deliver.”
The star of the show will be the Cadillac CELESTIQ ultra-luxury EV, which is appearing in China fresh off its global debut in the U.S. Built on the revolutionary Ultium platform, the handcrafted electric sedan boasts a design and performance like nothing else on the market. The most technologically advanced Cadillac ever, the bespoke CELESTIQ will be personally commissioned by individual buyers.
The GMC HUMMER EV SUV is making its maiden appearance in China at CIIE. It combines off-road adventure with zero emissions. Through its exclusive Watts to Freedom launch mode, it can achieve supercar-like 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration in just 3.5 seconds. Its unique CrabWalk diagonal-drive functionality and first-of-its-kind Extract Mode that activates the Adaptive Air Ride Suspension make it a master of all terrains.
Representing The Durant Guild’s racing DNA, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a new American supercar that is enthralling motoring enthusiasts the world over. Designed and engineered as a precision tool for the track with a confident stance and exotic proportions, the direct knowledge transfer to the street is evident through its lofty 8,600 rpm and 670 hp.
“Over the last few years, CIIE has provided us the opportunity to listen to the feedback of the Chinese market. In fact, it accelerated our decision to launch The Durant Guild,” said Julian Blissett, GM executive vice president and president of GM China. “This year marks an important step forward for GM with The Durant Guild, as it prepares to begin rolling out a curated portfolio to meet the increasing demand in niche segments.”
In addition to the lifestyle-amplifying products, The Durant Guild stand will feature The Durant Studio, an exhibition of the platform’s origin and history. It will provide insight into the roots of the GM brand and the inspiration behind The Durant Guild’s fearless spirit and business model. The design of the 850-square-meter stand will pay tribute to the origin of GM by adopting elements of the legendary Factory One in Flint, Michigan.
CIIE runs from November 5-10. The Durant Guild stand will be located in Hall 2.1 of the National Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai.
